Version 0.2a Released
Hey all!
I just put out a small update to Eternal September. Here's what's inside!
A New Offline Mode:
Lets face it - the load times for this game are LONG. At this point I'm not sure if it's worth the time to redevelop this to use a better system... To solve this issue, I have added an offline mode. The offline mode serves as a sort of time capsule from the end of 2018's Music Game Jam. It contains all of the echoes that were recorded during the rating period of the jam, so you can see how it ended up without having to spend upwards of 5 minutes connecting to a server. The player echoes are located in the Eternal September_Data/players directory, so if you want to fiddle with them you can (Maybe try deleting a bunch? It's a much more focused experience when there's only 20ish echoes).
Audio Tweaks:
I've tweaked the priority settings for the audio sources in game, and balanced out the audio levels. Your personal instrument now sounds a bit louder than the others (before this tweak, it would get drowned out by other echoes). I also gave the big physical instruments more priority over echoes.
